In order to bring consistency to the photographs compiled for this calendar, which varied tremendously in quality and color, they were converted to halftones composed of horizontal lines. As there was no need for full color reproductions, the calendar was printed using three spot colors, including fluorescent orange. A collage approach was adopted to pair existing photos of field workers with landscape imagery from each featured project locale. The placement of all graphic elements is dictated by the grid of crosshairs that covers each page, thereby referencing the precise mapping of utilities that Geotrack offers.
